Valerie and John's Engagement

>> Friday, August 6, 2010

We have been planning this shoot for over a month and I am so glad we got it in. The weather was pretty sketchy but after driving over an hour and half, Valerie and John were awesome to finally meet. What a fun shoot this turned into. These two are so in love!

Valerie drove from Long Island just because it was John's birthday! Don't they just look awesome together....

I asked John what's the deal with the green hat. He quickly replied, "I'm a huge Jets fan even since I was a kid." As the shoot progressed, I showed them a few shots from the back of the camera. I wasn't so sure how they would react. I got a smile and a laugh, "I guess a sign of approval." I thought to myself so it was back to work shooting some more.

This probably is my favorite of the day.  I just love her expression. They are truly a great couple........

Molly

While trying to improve on my Pet Photography skills, Molly asked if I would take her portrait.  You know it's all the rage to have a cool Facebook profile picture these days.  Molly really wanted to impress her four legged friends with this "collar-free" shot. I hope she gets more FB friends from it..........

AnnMarie and Kevin

>> Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Shooting so much these past few months I forget to update either my blog, my FB Fan Page or other sources about great weddings I recently shot.

AnnMarie looked stunning and Kevin was a pure gentleman on his wedding day.  They got married at All Souls' Church right in East Jewitt, NY on May 1st, 2010.

Built somewhere around 1894, this church is incredible.  It has no heat and is really only open in the summer months.  It really reminded Kevin of churches from back home.

Adding a little effect to this image really makes it look so dramatic.  I love what it does to the dress!

Heather and Zach's Wedding

>> Sunday, June 20, 2010

We travelled to Lake George on a beautiful June day for Heather and Zach's nuptials. The touching ceremony set against the lovely blue lake had many in tears, including the bride and groom. As you can from the smiles on their faces, this was a truly special day for the couple and their families.

Oh....I remember during the engagement session I asked Zach if he was a dancer. I ask this question more and more these days since it seems that most guys would rather drink at their reception than dance. As you can see below, Zach is the exception to this rule. He ripped it up for over two hours dancing with just about anyone who would dance with him. Lucky his wife got this one it really shows what good time was had by the two of them.

Can You Say I'm in Oswego......Trick

>> Sunday, June 13, 2010

I recently made a trip to Oswego to photograph Heather and Zach's engagement session. As we pulled up to their house, we noticed a party going on. First we thought, "for us" and laughed at each other.

Did I mention that my trusty assistant Morgan loves dogs? After formally meeting this great couple, we decided to head out to the shoot. As we left the house, Morgan was surprised that Mady, their best friend wasn't coming to the session. As usual, Morgan quickly convinced everyone that the dog had to be included! Though she kept a watchful eye on all the birds, Mady was well behaved and quite photogenic.

First, we went to the Rice Creek Field Station Trails, the spot where Zach surprised Heather last December. Zach told the story of how he and Mady bought strings of Christmas lights and all the extension cords he could find and strung them above the trails in the freezing cold. He told Heather to bring her snowshoes and then he surprised her with a beautiful engagement ring. We then we went to the shore of Lake Ontario just before the sun was setting and took a few more shots of the happy couple.
