We had a blast working with Sarah during one of my off-camera lighting classes. The forecast was for rain all day but that didn't stop us from going outside. However, towards the end of the day we ended up inside and just as very were about to finish, I though of an idea. Here it is!
It's pretty rare that I get invited to attend a wedding as a guest. It's even more rare when I can actually attend. On my way back from attending a conference in Portland OR, I watched my girlfriend's brother Bram get married. While I knew just about everyone, I had never had the opportunity to meet Bram. They didn't ask for any photography whatsoever but I figured I could snap a few images.
The wedding day was just beautiful. Warm, sunny and a great setting for a wedding. The reception was actually outdoors, yes you heard me, outdoors. Not a tent but an overhang from the restaurant. I could not have asked for a better change from the usual settings I photograph in.
Of course I asked permission from the "hired" photographer and we even had a "wedding crasher photographer" just show up too! Wow....they definitely do things different here than back at home.
Below is just a little something I did as a guest trying "not" to get in the way of the hired professional photographer. Enjoy....
For the second summer in a row, Kevin down at Thunderhart has hired us again to cover his golf outings. Some are for charity and some are just a group of people out having a great time. Last weekend I captured a foresome who were super competitive. I am sure you will figure out who it is from the quick video we made.
Anthony and Melissa met us just about a year ago. As we got closer and closer to the wedding, Melissa came up with her own design for her photobooth layout. These guys danced the night.......enjoy!
Working with the Hudson Valley Click Lighting & Photography Group (Newburgh, NY), I attending a shoot to help promote some models portfolios as well as mine. Hope you enjoy!
